Appreciating “Yes.”

Writing means hearing “no” a lot — in my case, about sixteen times for every acceptance. That’s why every “yes” feels worth celebrating. I’m happy to share that my essay has been published in Fourth Genre’s newest collection.

What makes this even more meaningful is that a small piece of my grandmother’s story is out in the world. Her memory, her spirit — shared with others. It reminds me why I keep writing through the rejections. 💛📚
